Covid-19 Vaccination in Thousand Islands Keeps Being Intensified

The quota for vaccine participants has been added to 50-100 people and extended the vaccination service hours from 8 AM to 4 PM

The Thousand Islands Health Sub-agency continues to intensify vaccinations for residents as an effort to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic.

Thousand Islands Health Sub-agency Head, Herwin Meifendi said, efforts to support the acceleration of vaccination included intensifying socialization, bringing vaccination services closer, and mobilizing residents by involving cross-sectoral agencies.

"We also hold it at the karang taruna building, urban village office, SMPN 288 Pulau Untung Jawa and SDN 01 Pulau Tidung, as well as RW post," he expressed, Thursday (6/17).

According to him, vaccinations in health care facilities included health posts, puskesmas in two sub-districts, puskesmas in six urban villages and hospitals on Pramuka Island.

"The quota for vaccine participants has been added to 50-100 people and extended the vaccination service hours from 8 AM to 4 PM," he explained.

Based on the data until June 12, he added, as many as 1,315 elderly people had taken the first dose or around 75.06 percent, while the second dose reached 1,065 people or around 60.79 percent of the target.

"In total, our target is around 1,752 people," he stated.

He added around 3,920 or 96.77 percent out of the target 4,051 non elderlies or public services had passed through the first dose and 3,031 or 74.82 percent had taken the second dose.

"Similar action is also spotted in seven neighborhoods by targeting 5,168 people aged 18-59 years. Currently we have served 1,008 people or around 19.50 percent," he stated.
